Job Description:

CPP-Syracuse is a manufacturer of premium investment castings for the Air Craft and Industrial Gas Turbine industry. We have over 200 employees currently working in our Chittenango, NY facility.

We are currently looking for an experienced individual for our Metal End/UT department. The candidate will work on our 1st Shift and work overtime as needed.
Ultrasound Technician : Measure and record ultrasonic wall thickness of castings to ensure customer acceptance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Ability to work autonomously while verifying castings final wall tolerances meet acceptance criteria per customer specifications.
• Ability to create Non-conformance documents.
• Ability to set-up and verify calibration of all Ultrasound equipment including quick checks and veneers.
• Ability to assist bench operators within scope of gaging knowledge.
• Comply with and support AS9100 and Nadcap certification standards as well as customer specific standards.
• Record readings into database
• Contact and confer with engineers regarding any pattern irregularities detected from ultrasonic wall readings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience: One to three years in manufacturing. Experience as an ultrasonic sound inspection technician preferred.
