Job Description:




JOB SUMMARY: The Automation Test Engineer will handle automated validation efforts in support of implementation of WCG applications and client initiatives. The Automation Test Engineer will also assist in the implementation of critical systems and services in support of WCG applications and client initiatives as required. The activities shall involve, but may not be limited to development, maintenance, execution and reporting on test automation suits for WCG software solutions.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Requires a bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

At least 5 years of quality engineering experience in a software engineering environment. At least 4 years of experience in automating validation/testing activities, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry. At least 2 year of experience in Web Services/Application Program Interface (API) testing. Ability to effectively work with Developers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance team members. Experience with automated testing processes and tools based on industry trend. Close familiarity with most of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Experience validating systems compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. Ability to collect, aggregate, organize, and analyze data. Experience in analyzing and automating customer business processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Play a key role in enabling continuous testing using automated solution during early development phases.

  • Work with engineering teams to integrate the automated testing into our daily development process and deployment pipeline.

  • Maintain WCG test automation Architecture and supporting infrastructure and tools.

  • Develop seamless integration for all test types into a continuous delivery solution.

  • Design and develop enterprise wide, re-usable testing productivity components/ frameworks.

  • Develop or acquire tools and techniques to optimize and automate all testing types (functional, performance, regression, etc.).

  • Deep understanding of the development tool sets so the test automation tools can be integrated into CI/CD solutions.

Detailed Qualifications/Experience Requirements:



  • 4+ years of experience automating web applications using Selenium WebDriver.

  • Strong Experience in Java /C# Programming, with frameworks like Maven, TestNG, xUnit or jUnit.

  • Experience in implementing API/Micro services test automation for SOAP and RESTful APIs using commercial tools or in-house framework using SoapUI, REST Assured or Karate.

  • 2+ years of development experience with developing Features, Test Scenarios and Step-Definition for BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber / SpecFlow (Gherkins).

  • 2 years of design and development of custom / integration automation frameworks covering different technology and application platforms.

  • Preferred to have any automation testing for Mobile application e.g. using Appium tool and Perfecto mobile software, which involves windows or android platforms.

  • Experience with any CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Teamcity, Octopus.

  • Exposure to Database Testing with SQL and automated Data Validations using JDBC.

Other Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • SQL DB Scripting

  • JIRA experience

  • Helix ALM (Formerly Test Track) experience or similar

  • Desktop automation with WinApp Driver or Winium

  • Record replay tools experience like Katalon.

  • Tools related to Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

  • Webservices/API - Postman, SoapUI

  • Knowledge of Performance/Load test tools - JMeter/Neoload
