Nightlife & Restaurants Marketing Coordinator

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel Nightlife & Restaurants Marketing Coordinator works directly with the Director Marketing Nightlife and Restaurants. This position will work to create regular weekly activations in our Pools, Bars, and Restaurant venues. This role will and execute upon the Restaurant & Nightlife Marketing campaign strategy. This position will have expertise managing social media, digital/ print design and advertising strategy, entertainment programming including DJ's/ bands/ ticketing promotion teams. This role will directly post and manage the social media and digital marketing for the Restaurant & Nightlife operations. This role will work closely with various support divisions in the hotel such as Marketing/ Sales, PR, F&B, Rooms to ensure consistent guest communication, alignment and strategic planning for hotel and local guest marketing.

What you will be doing:


  • Manage the Restaurant, Bar, and Nightlife Marketing process with the Director Marketing Nightlife and Restaurants position, while communicating with all third parties, approving materials, planning and execution of the social media strategy, marketing strategy, website management, press and media, online media channels, celebrity programming, and social crowd engineering and influencers within the restaurant and bar operations.
  • Creation of Outlets Branding Menus/ sell sheets and marketing/ PR strategy for F&B operations: Pools, Restaurants, Bars, Banquet (menu/sell sheet brochures), In-Room Dining, Music/Entertainment programming.
  • Ensures communication between F&B Marketing and Hotel Marketing are in sync to ensure seamless communication for our Hotel Guests in F&B venues.
  • Follows all Corporate Guidelines for F&B Marketing and PR policies and Brand expectations.
  • Creates and Manages all printed/digital marketing/ promotional and sales collateral development and production of materials.
  • Creates and Manages all communication material to market Food and Beverage venues, Music/Entertainment to hotel guests and locals.
  • Establish and maintain relationship with local press, influencers, and media.
  • Creates and Manages all photography that will be used for the Food and Beverage venues either printed or digitally online and in the hotel venues.
  • Creates and Manages all menu planning, grammar, design, and creation; ensuring communication of menus thru proper channels and digital platforms.
  • Will develop an in-house social media strategy, and will manage the day to day postings of all online/ social media sites including: Instagram, Facebook, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google Business Pages.
  • Responds to all Restaurant/ Bar social media accounts that have negative and positive guest reviews. Creates interactive/ rapport building experiences between the social media/ online site user and the hotels restaurant/bars.
  • Manage the Opentable Pro Platform utilizing the marketing tools: email campaigns, maintain high review scores (opentable, yelp, trip advisor, google), guest profiles (likes/dislikes), influencer profiles, strategic marketing campaigns and ROI on weekly/monthly basis.
  • Identify opportunities to further expose the restaurant and bar operations to additional revenue opportunities, such as local sport/cultural/holiday/art/music/dining activations and will produce positive ROI.
  • Proactively explore all opportunities locally that will assist in positioning the Food and Beverage venues positively marketed, such as: Puerto Rico Tourism Association, National Restaurant Association, etc.
  • Manage all Food and Beverage creation, design, and implementation of websites; align with Corporate approved F&B Brand/ Marketing and PR guidelines.
  • Manage the Food and Beverage email database and communication strategy.
  • Attend and contribute to the weekly F&B Marketing Meeting, ensuring key leader attendance, and review of event calendar strategy.
  • Manage all online promotional advertising for restaurant and bar venues, thru strategic marketing plans and digital ad spends.
  • Setup and manage all Social Media accounts (facebook, twitter, Instagram, you tube, Uva!, yelp, tripadvisor, opentable, google business).
  • Report to management negative comments and discussions.
  • Identify any threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the Food and Beverage division venues.
  • Recommend new alternatives/ ideas and trend setting marketing initiatives to creating industry trend setting social media marketing campaigns. Be #1 in followers per food and beverage social media venue on island.
  • Comply with Corporate F&B Marketing guidelines to ensure division venues are aligned with Corporate rules and regulations around all marketing and social media material.
  • Email hotel division communication of venue hours of operation, music/entertainment, and activations.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in Birchstreet, check requests, and match purchases received to the GL each week/ or accrue each month when necessary.
  • Must work well in fast paced, multi-tasking situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
  • Present according to Accor/ Fairmont uniform guidelines: professional and attractive image in support of the overall luxury position of the property.
  • Greet all Guests promptly and with a friendly and upbeat attitude.
  • Follows company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting.
  • Be a brand advocate by providing Guests with accurate information regarding our venues, menus, pricing and future events.
  • Respond to Guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner.
  • Support sponsorship and partners in promotions of special events and product marketing.
  • Is available in both morning, evening, and late night to work various shifts based on business needs. This role is critical to be present during weekends, varying day/evening shifts, holidays and special entertainment/music events.
  • Is available with schedule to work hours required based on business levels daily/ weekly. This includes changes to schedule working morning, evening, overnight shifts.
  • Works closely with the Fairmont TrustYou system to analyze guest feedback data, negative/ positive and provide daily/ weekly/ monthly reports to F&B Management to take corrective action in guest resolution and employee coaching.
  • Manage the Kipsu platform for the F&B operation, ensuring menu links updates, quick replies updated, and Rooms communication is accurate with F&B operation details.
  • Other duties as assigned by the hotel.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred but not required.
  • 1-5 years' experience working in Nightlife venues, which include Nightclubs and Bars.
  • 1-5 years' experience working in Restaurants.
  • Strong understanding / experience of Hotel Operations in a multi-cultural environment; with strong background in Restaurants and Bars.
  • High level of drive for results; adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills with great attention to details.
  • Excellent guest relations, problem solving and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Working knowledge of Micros
  • Four-year college degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management required
  • EXPERIENCE

  • At least two year experience in related field preferred. Graphic Art/Marketing management experience preferred.
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Four-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
