5 STAR Event Services is excited to welcome the Rockwell Automation Fair this November at the George R. Brown Convention Center! With the wide variety of technologies and services available, a Rockwell Automation event is the first step toward discovering how the latest innovations can have a meaningful impact. This weeklong event will include 8hour shifts starting at $14/hr.

We provide security and event staff for many venues and events in the Houston area like the Toyota Center Stadium (Houston Rocket's basketball games), BBVA Compass Stadium (Dynamo & Dash Soccer games) and more!

Duties May Include:

• Enforce and uphold the integrity of public and private areas of the venue


• Monitor entry and exit points and control access to specific areas of the venue


• Perform routine search procedures including bag searches and screening of guests and their tickets, bags, credentials, etc. prior to guest entry to ensure that no prohibited items enter the venue


• Greet and direct guests to seating areas and various services


• Maintain open and smooth access routes of patron/vehicle walkways


• Receive and act on complaints from patrons according to policies and procedures


• Enforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activity


• Aide in the direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergencies


• Provide security escorts per event requirements

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must also possess the following qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age


• Must be able to obtain a Level II Non-Commissioned security license


• Reliable forms of communication and transportation


• Must possess excellent Customer Service Skills


• Good Verbal and Written Skills


• Must be Outgoing, Personable and Professional


• Enjoy Working in a Team Environment

Physical Requirements: To perform this position successfully, an individual must possess the following physical requirements:

• Must be physically fit and possess full mental dexterity with the ability to walk, talk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear and see


• The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (minimum of 8 hours)


• The ability to lift 25lbs.
