The Senior Operations Product Development Manager provides leadership for new product development and post-market activities for the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operating Unit. This position has responsibility for multiple products and projects concurrently and manages these at various stages through the product development lifecycle. The Senior Operations Product Development Manager has broad cross-functional knowledge and comprehensive project management and technical skills to provide direction, coaching and leadership to support engineering and scientific activities. This individual collaborates with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations and internal and external partners on a portfolio of best-in-class products to solve key technical issues, maintain business continuity, and support on-going sustaining engineering activities.

A Day in the Life:
•Provide leadership, coaching and career development to a team of Core Team Operations Representatives (CTORs)
•Ability to balance multiple project tasks and milestones to meet overall project and divisional objectives.
•Manage technical personnel, direct reports toward satisfying overall OU objectives.
•Establish project and/or group objectives, provide work direction as needed, evaluate progress and results to Sr. Management
•Translate the CAS business strategy into functional objectives and plans.
•Communicate project and portfolio status within the context of the portfolio strategy to the R&D, Operations and OU leadership teams.
•Be accountable to achieve the key deliverables and outcomes of projects and programs.
•Establish the right organizational structure and develop proposal for organizational resource needs.
•Assist in development of strategies concerning DRM, PDP, project priorities and related departmental programs and budgets.
•Develop strong partnerships and work effectively with cross-functional and cross-business leaders.
•Maintain a current understanding of the organizational direction of DRM, best practices and work to develop CAS strategy and alignment
•Perform job functions in accordance with applicable GMP and ISO standards.
•Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have:
•Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or biomedical engineering or related technical field
•10+ years of engineering and product development experience
•5+ years of project management leadership
•2+ years of people management experience
•Demonstrated strong people and communication skills
•Established influencing and interpersonal skills
•Knowledge of medical device industry practices, techniques and standards, including experience with project management concepts and principles
•New product development experience, including successful launch and commercialization, DRM
•Experience leading technical teams to achieve high performance
•Strong problem-solving capabilities
•Experience with mechanical design, polymers, catheters, DRM, and design verification and validation
•Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers and, OEMs
