Job Summary: The Incident Response Analyst is responsible for supporting Equinix Global CERT management of information security–related incidents. This person also leads the development, coordination, and facilitation of cyber-themed tabletop exercises across the Information Security organization and beyond. This person participates in cyber incident post mortem activities to gain insights into content that is suitable for development into tabletop exercises and works with external organizations, including those focused on business continuity and crisis management, to integrate tabletop exercises across a broad range of participants. This position reports to the Cyber Incident Response Commander within the Equinix Global CERT.

This position requires superior interpersonal, communication, and technical skills, including the ability to research and develop high-quality cyber tabletop exercise content and to successfully deliver exercises to remote stakeholders across Equinix.

Responsibilities


  • Conducting response activities for information security–related incidents


  • Developing, coordinating, and delivering cyber-themed tabletop exercises to promote Equinix’s preparation against actual cybersecurity incidents


  • Coordinating with organizations external to the Equinix Global CERT to ensure relevance of tabletop exercises to a broad group of stakeholders


  • Producing and maintaining documentation pertaining to team processes and procedures.


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in information security roles.


  • Exceptional communications skills (oral and written) with a history of successfully engaging with multiple levels of leadership.


  • Experience in development of engaging cyber tabletop exercise content.


  • Experience in conducting incident response.


  • Ability to coordinate large-scale tabletop exercises across a wide array of remote participants.


  • Experience implementing processes aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.


  • Understanding of technology systems such as networks, applications, servers, cloud, authentication, and emerging technologies.


  • Experience working with information security teams such as fusion centers, security operations centers, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability threat management, security incident management, cyber “hunt,” and big data analysis.


  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with little oversight.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.


  • Degrees and/or Certifications in computer forensics, information security, and similar preferred.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $96K- $130K per year with 15% bonus target.
