JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have passing score on basic dysrhythmia test before completion of orientation. Must successfully complete a minimum of annual dysrhythmia exams with a minimum score of 80% and get all lethal rhythms correct.
Medical terminology preferred. Basic computer skills required. Current Cardiac Dysrhythmia preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Must successfully complete a minimum of annual dysrhythmia exams with a passing score of 80% and get all lethal rhythms correct.
Demonstrates ability to read, legibly print or write, correctly spell medical and non-medical terms and understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Identifies and communicates abnormal EKG patterns.
Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple activities concurrently, as well as able to prioritize work.
Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with members of the healthcare team.
Requires proficiency in computer skills and sufficient keyboarding skills to complete the work assigned accurately and in a reasonable amount of time.
