If you are a MANUFACTURING & OPERATIONS professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our LEBANON, MISSOURI location, The Materials Analyst position manages materials requirements to ensure parts availability for the production schedules, while maintaining inventory levels to the prescribed days-on-hand goals.  This includes analyzing future demand and consumption to ensure commodities are readily available for production needs by using our MRP/ERP systems, kanbans/pull systems, and by expediting material as required.  Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for driving improvements in the material processes and will work as a part of the team to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. The position requires significant interface with Suppliers, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.
 

AS A MATERIALS ANALYST, YOU WILL: 


  • Manage MRP/ERP systems to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules
  • Track progress of materials and expedites as required
  • Manage Kanbans/Pull Systems to meet production and inventory targets
  • Manage inventory levels of assigned parts/commodities to meet inventory goals
  • Coordinate Engineering and Supplier Changes with the appropriate Corporate groups
  • Manage new part introductions
  • Manage supplier returns
  • Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement activities
  • Cross-train in other positions in the department
     

WHO YOU ARE:You partner with others to get work done. You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations and carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachlor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills (Excel)
  • Capable of using Lean tools such as Kanban/Pull Systems, Value Stream Mapping, and Perfect Execution Strategies
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations preferred
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • APICS or other relevant Professional Certification
  • Oracle experience
