VP, Loan Servicing Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing support and guidance in loan processing oversight and servicing of all commercial and consumer loans within the loan operations department. Responsible for monitoring, research, analysis and resolution of loan systems activity and functionality.  Supports Projects and Quality Control processes, including callback, reconciliations and certifications for ongoing reviews and assessments, ensuring controls involving polices and regulations, data integrity and financial reporting related to Loan Servicing are in place and accurate.  Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Oversees daily activities within the servicing team including, but not limited to, delegation of assignments and oversight of boarding, loan service requests and team projects; resolves complex issues and discrepancies independently and responds to a variety of inquires or problems in a timely manner.

  2. Administers training and guidance in all aspects of loan servicing and coordinates tasks affecting the loan operations systems.  Performs product testing and data mapping for system upgrades and conversions.

  3. Supports all loan systems processing functions including data input, exception processing and operation of specialized software programs and spreadsheets related to loan boarding and servicing.

  4. Ensures the integrity of data entered into the system of record within departmental guidelines to mitigate operational risk.

  5. Assists in reviews, enhancements and implementation of all policies and procedures necessary to ensure the loan servicing process and data components for new loan set-up, ongoing monitoring, and control of internal and sub-servicing loan servicing activities meet all applicable requirements.

  6. Prepares general ledger closing entries and reconciliations of departmental general ledger and control accounts, as needed, and performs research, analysis and resolution of various accounting entries, issues and variances related to loan transaction activity.

  7. Follows set departmental procedures to receive satisfactory audit. Includes audit considerations when assisting in the development of procedures and new tasks within functional area.

  8. Assists in departmental audits, providing support and assistance to the internal audit and risk departments, as well as, internal and external auditors, as necessary.

  9. Interacts with internal and/or external customers handling all concerns and inquiries.

  10. Provides support in management of the Loan Operations Servicing, Quality Control, Loan Administration and Records teams, as necessary; including process oversight, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment

  11. Assists with the insurance processes, including tracking and force placement of hazard, liability and flood insurance.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)

  • Advanced experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible lending department operations, management and supervisory activities

  • Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations governing lending including but not limited to fair lending, privacy, RESPA as well as company operational policies and procedures, and the company’s products and services.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of overall department operational procedures and a thorough knowledge of all related computer systems and specification set up

  • Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs

  • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position

  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs

  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures

  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions

  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit

  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term  and long-term basis

  • Ability to make informal presentations, inside the organization; speaking before assigned team

  • Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations

  • Must be fully vaccinated for
    COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof
    of vaccination by start date.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:


  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years’ experience and/or combined loan operations experience and training including: loan servicing, processing, loan closing and funding in commercial and residential lending.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficient understanding of all documents required for all borrowing entities and ability to assess if the legal documents drawn cover all necessary terms and conditions appropriate for the approved credit product.

  • Experience with Fiserv loan accounting system preferred.

  • Broad knowledge of real estate and commercial & industrial (C&I) loans and loan documentation, including Small Business Administration (“SBA”).  Residential lending knowledge preferred. 




Salary:

$57,500.00
