General Manager at SAFE HARBOR MARINAS in Islamorada, Florida

Job Description:

The General Manager cultivates a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while directing the management team and ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of boatyard and marina management, including dock maintenance, boat slips, equipment, rentals, and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations and management of the business
Provide excellent customer service
Manage and train all marina employees
Manage maintenance work done throughout the facility to ensure safe and acceptable property and equipment, as well as esthetics appearance
Manage sales, facilities, and guest relations effectively
Sustain and optimize profitability, performance and guest satisfaction
Manage budgets, inventory control, and accounting principles of business
Maintain positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and local authorities
Comply with OSHA, EPA, DEEP and Department of Labor rules and regulations

Technical and Physical Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
5 years' relevant experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
CMM certification a plus
Experience with budgets, salary administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable and slip leasing
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
