CAMP Systems is in search of a Staff Accountant to join our growing company! The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate must be organized and self-motivated, have a minimum of two years' experience and possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. They must be able to multitask in a fast paced, high-energy environment and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Audit balance sheet and income statement items for accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance
- Assist with month-end close process - including revenue analysis, preparation, and review of journal entries
- Identify opportunities for improvement and system enhancements
- Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Two or more years of work experience in the accounting field
- Experience with revenue accounting and new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606).
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Must work well independently and with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to process improvement and ability to think "outside-the-box".
