CAMP Systems is in search of a Staff Accountant to join our growing company! The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate must be organized and self-motivated, have a minimum of two years' experience and possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. They must be able to multitask in a fast paced, high-energy environment and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Audit balance sheet and income statement items for accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance
Assist with month-end close process - including revenue analysis, preparation, and review of journal entries
Identify opportunities for improvement and system enhancements
Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Two or more years of work experience in the accounting field
Experience with revenue accounting and new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606).
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Must work well independently and with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to process improvement and ability to think "outside-the-box".
