Job Description:
Role: Sr Java Developer
Cognizant is looking for a Sr Java Developer in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of application architecture
• Possess strong analytical, creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of issues, including in-depth technical analysis, troubleshooting, analyzing, understanding browser logs and JS errors, identifying root cause
• Experience architecting and designing public facing solutions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar.
• A minimum of 2 years experience as an application architect
• Highly proficient with Java / J2EE / JSP development
• Knowledge of XML, SOAP, RestAPI and WSDL
• Experience with WebSphere
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great collaboration and communication skills.
• Possess strong technical aptitude, and ability to quickly learn/adopt new processes and technologies
• Experience with cloud technologies
