Your role as Business Data Architect:


  • Lead and execute planning initiatives for data related projects and implementations with a heavy emphasis on business intelligence and data visualization tools and techniques


  • Accomplish daily activities to organize resources and ensure that project deliverables are completed on time according to project plans


  • Perform data stewardship activities across Corporate businesses; understand and translate business use cases and requirements into data models, analytics reports and scenario models


  • Work on projects with other staff within the Corporate Group, the Bank's Technology Services Group and System Wide Support entities


  • Provide business and data leadership to projects and Product Owners, advising Product Owners and assisting with resolution of data challenges


  • Mentor staff in "best practices" to develop business intelligence, analytics, and data visualization, leading analytic and reporting solutions


  • Adopt and communicate new data concepts, ideas, techniques, and best practices


  • Help develop logical data designs and reporting and BI solutions


  • Work on ad hoc requests for technical solutions from senior management and the user community at large


What we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent work experience


  • Represent the Group on system-wide committees and workgroups;


  • Excellent project planning to coordinate data delivery and communicate with audiences across the organization


  • Experience maintaining end-to-end data solutions including logical, access, and physical data modeling, and aligning the data model with presentation requirements, explicit and implied


  • Experience with normalized and dimensional data modeling techniques; strong access modeling/query skills


  • Technical experience using data warehouse, business intelligence and analytics products (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau; Tableau Prep, Alteryx, and Python);


  • Working knowledge of a BI/report development tool (e.g., Tableau and Alteryx) and proficiency in integrating database (Microsoft Access, and other tools, from existing SQL Server and Oracle databases) into reporting systems


  • Familiarity with different database architectures (e.g., shared everything, shared nothing) and be able to recommend solutions


  • Familiarity with financial, accounting, procurement, and facilities concepts and data


  • Deep experience with data analysis and mapping, and expertise in the creation and usage of metadata
