Your day to day

In this role you will enable growth by engaging with the Americas Development team and providing financial leadership through business stewardship, support, and challenge.  You will also conduct analysis and provide insights regarding the Americas development pipeline of primarily franchised hotels, which is critical to the company’s future.


  • Enhance commercial acumen by proactively engaging with business counterparts to understand business drivers and industry / competitive challenges

  • Identify improvement opportunities by benchmarking performance within / across regions and peers

  • Support the multi-year strategic planning and budget process and quarterly forecast review process

  • Review monthly / quarterly financial performance reports and commentary of high value business areas including transparency of risks and opportunities

  • Create business cases to support strategic resource allocation

  • Evaluate longer-term cost & revenue optimization opportunities

  • Perform tactical interventions with the business to close gaps vs. plan and achieve project delivery

What we need from you

Education 


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance or related field required. Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance or related field preferred 

Experience 


  • Experienced business leader with at least 5 years of finance, strategy, and/or management consulting experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving change, and challenging & communicating with senior leadership in a complex matrix organization

  • Analytical experience

  • Ability to collaborate with senior executive and both on and off shore colleagues

  • Experience within the hospitality industry

  • Experience with unit growth 

Technical Skills & Knowledge 


  • Financial Systems (e.g. Essbase)
