How you’ll contribute:

We currently have opportunities for Research Associates in many of our policy centers.   All positions have responsibilities which work towards executing a major segment of research projects in policy areas related to welfare, retirement, tax policy, immigration, population studies, public health, education, child welfare and criminal justice.

Responsibilities

• Design the research approach, selecting appropriate quantitative or qualitative tools of analysis,


• Plan and independently execute a major segment of a social science research project in consultation with and under the general with consultation from more senior staff. 


• Present research findings and report writing


• Conduct and/or lead focus groups and field research,


• Project Management and Budgeting


• Manage, coach and mentor junior staff

What you will Bring:

The successful candidate will

• Possess a PhD in Economics and an interest in working in an interdisciplinary environment.


• Demonstrate strong quantitative skills with demonstrated skills in research methods, preferably through course work or experience in a relevant research position. 


• Exhibit proficiency with statistical software packages (such as SAS or SPSS),


• Have prior exposure to policy related issues


• Display excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
