Overview: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for a team of Material Handlers directing, supporting, and maintaining material supply to production and ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient operations. The Warehouse Supervisor plans organizes, monitors, coaches, and coordinates activities of Material Handlers.
Responsibilities:
Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized
Assist with hiring of new employees
Maintain, build, develop and improve staff by setting clear expectations, training, supervising, and coaching.
Accountable for Supervisory functions of the shift assigned
Assist in developing and documenting warehouse process improvements
Review and reconcile inventory discrepancies
Move inventory to locations via SAP/manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack, and handcart
Coordinate Material Handlers to provide adequate support to production
Manage the day to day planning to ensure material and color changes happen in a timely manner according to the production schedule
Provide leadership and training to Material Handlers including but not limited to:
SAP
FIFO
COGIs
Restocking Materials
Error Log Sheets
Provide Cross-training opportunities to Material Handlers
Inform Material Handlers of work, rules, and regulations to ensure they adhere to company policies
Keep records of Material Handlers performance
Follow all Safety procedures including the use of PPE as required
Issue purchased materials, components, and WIP materials to work orders to support the production schedule.
Expedite materials, components, and packaging through IQA as necessary
Communicate potential shortages to purchasing, scheduling, and production.
Audit returns from the production floor and credit to the production order.
Verify backflushed materials are issued properly
Analyze completed orders and make necessary issues or credits, notify manager if variances are high before closing work orders.
Assist with Physical Inventory
Perform inventory transactions for NCMRs, moving logs, and intercompany transfers.
Participate in Lean Management Activities

Preferred/Required Education/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong math, reading and communication skills required
Previous Warehouse Supervisor or Lead experience required
Certified to operate fork truck, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications required and SAP experience, preferred
Work Environment
Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels
