Responsible for deploying a person-centered approach towards identifying the needs of our students and community. Empathize with students in order to uncover and understand any problems they may be facing. Research and define these problems. Brainstorm with committees and other departments to propose solutions to the problems that have been identified. Draft an executive summary to the Leadership Council for review of the proposed solution. Assist with the development and testing of the solution. Develop a strong working and collaborative relationship with a diverse population.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate community focus groups to assess any potential unmet higher education needs.
Coordinate one on one interviews, surveys, and focus groups with current and former student populations that will help to identify unmet higher education needs.
Work with Affinity Group Liaisons to help identify the needs of student groups of diverse populations.
Prepare executive summaries of research findings to the Leadership Council.
Identify potential participant pools for qualitative research.
Draft communications towards participation in qualitative research.
Participate with the Survey Collaborative Committee and other departments across the institution to brainstorms solutions to identified needs.
Utilize a tracking system to identify the number of students that have participated in qualitative research, topics for research, and the dates of participation.
Aarticipate on committees and in other campus wide meetings as assigned.ssist Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness with quality initiatives as assigned.
Adhere to the ethical standards and principles for protecting human research subjects as identified by the Office for Human Research Protections.
Participate on other committees and campus wide meetings as assigned.
Responsible for understanding, supporting and actively demonstrating the College's beliefs, values, mission, and vision and being in agreement to be evaluated by same.

Education and Experience Minimum
Associate's degree in relevant field
Two or more years of experience with focus groups.
Effective communication with individuals from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in relevant field
