The Director of Inclusive Education and Teaching Support is responsible for assigning $3.5 million worth of TA, grader, and UCA support for the College of Information & Computer Sciences (CICS) each year, and overseeing the performance of those students. They provide regular feedback, training, and coaching to enhance CICS' overall teaching quality. Topics covered with the TAs, graders, and Undergraduate Course Assistants (UCAs) include time and classroom management, balancing workload, inclusive tutoring and communication, and managing other course staff, as well as how to promote an inclusive and supportive environment for all students (majors and non-majors alike). The Director is responsible for coordinating CICS' first year seminar program, Residential Academic Programs (RAPs), and summer pre-college programs, as well as mentor programs for graduate and undergraduate students. In conjunction with the Graduate Programs Manager, the Director serves as a non-supervising advisor for PhD students, giving them opportunities to discuss advisor relationships, career goals, life, etc. Finally, the Director supports the diversification of our graduate programs by reading and prioritizing applications from female and underrepresented minorities (URM) for the admissions committee.
Master's degree in Teaching, Education, Computer Science, Academic Advising, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience.

The ability to adapt and work effectively as the College grows.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner, balancing the demands of concurrent and potentially competing projects.Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
