Director, Special Projects (Integrated Kidney Care)

As a member of the Integrated Kidney Care (IKC) core leadership team, the Director of Special Projects will report directly to the Group Vice President of Integrated Kidney Care. This teammate will support the development of the clinical strategy, aggregating and synthesizing analysis, partnering with various functions across the enterprise to drive strategic planning, organizing management processes, communications internally and externally, and supporting employee engagement. This teammate will operate on a national level, working with central clinical and operating teams across the country.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead new initiatives that improve patient care and contribute to operating performance

  • Support the Group Vice President, in crafting and executing on strategic imperatives

  • Organize IKC efforts and drive collaboration across lanes

  • Support internal/external communication by helping to craft and deliver key messages

  • Highlight management process gaps or improvement opportunities, then implement solutions

  • Lead critical projects working across multiple service lanes; monitor metrics, track the progress of initiatives and prepare presentations for senior leadership

  • Collaborate across teams to perform analyses and synthesize results

  • Work across operational and innovation teams to advance best in class capabilities in the market

  • Remote position, Travel required: up to 20%




Minimum Qualifications



  • Prior experience as Director of Strategy, Chief of Staff, Project Leader, or similar role supporting enterprise-level initiatives or prior experience within healthcare or financial operations leadership.

  • Experience leading the following:

    • Design, implementation, & administration of clinical strategies, clinical and operating models, governance models, and service delivery models desired

    • Continuous improvement processes & initiatives

    • Ideation & innovation processes & development





  • Demonstrated track record in the following:

    • Strategic thinking

    • Influencing others to achieve objectives

    • Resourcefulness-the ability to find and implement effective solutions despite time or resource constraints

    • Integrity; must be viewed as highly trustworthy and able to keep matters confidential

    • Handling matters proactively and expeditiously, following through on initiatives & projects to successful completion

    • Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion

    • Judgment and decision-making ability--must know when and how to "push-back" on decisions and how to make tough calls to keep work moving forward



  • Bachelor's degree required; master's highly preferred

  • Strong project management skills

  • Must demonstrate strategic thinking as well as a willingness to lead initiatives through implementation

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives

  • Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams

Salary/ Wage Range

$100,100.00 to $147,000.00



Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
