DaVita is looking for a motivated individual to support one of our most exciting SBIs, Integrated Kidney Care, which is at the heart of our evolution from a fee-for-service to value-based world. DaVita Integrated Kidney Care is the renal population health management division of DaVita serving approximately 25,000 end stage renal disease (ESRD) and late-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients across the U.S. A key component of DaVita's integrated care strategy is our healthcare analytics team, responsible for developing and communicating advanced data analytics and reporting to inform our care model.



As a data expert joining this team, you will interface with several levels of ETL, database architecture, automation, reporting, and analysis in support of current and prospective care management programs. Perfect for a flexible logician with a knack for data governance, this role will challenge and inspire creativity while providing invaluable experience in the healthcare field. You'll help maintain and upgrade our robust database architecture laid down to support ad-hoc and standardized data reporting. Likewise, we expect you to employ a critical eye to find processes we can automate, and help develop and implement a strategy to automate them to streamline operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Reporting

    • Participate in and lead the development and deployment of new metrics

    • Maintain database to support reporting environment including adding new tables, updating lookup tables, and setting up automation



  • Database/server maintenance

    • Set up automation and procedures for new client data or new processes (in SQL, Python and Bash)

    • Support team by maintaining automated processes related to client data, internal data, and reference data

    • Troubleshoot and correct issues with automated processes

    • Comply with SDLC processes




    • Process improvement

      • Identify data and reporting processes and work flows in need of improvement

      • Work with stakeholders and other analysts to develop and implement improvements by utilizing tools available (sql, excel, python, data visualization, etc)




      • Provide analytical support for current and prospective clients

        • Load, cleanse, and summarize claims and other data from payor and provider partners

        • Develop and maintain procedures that support the team's reporting capabilities

        • Write SQL queries against data warehouses

      QUALIFICATIONS



      • Bachelor's degree in related field required

      • Experience with SQL and managing relational databases including writing complex queries

      • Experience and/or interest in other programming languages including Python, VBA and Bash

      • Minimum one year of experience with data/IT analysis

      • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft applications
