As Manager of Content Creation & Internal Communications, you’ll partner with leaders who are passionate about innovating consumer behavior and experiences by pioneering new ways to leverage our properties and bring people together to work, shop and play. What will your day to day be like? Key responsibilities include:
Manage day-to-day internal communications and employer branding by partnering across the U.S. business to promote the company’s programs, initiatives, and successes. You’ll help our team members understand the full scope of key employee experience activities and programs and set the stage for URW as an employer of choice in the U.S. This includes highlighting the inclusive and positive employee community we are building.
Inject excitement and fun in communications and copywriting, connecting employees to URW values, key initiatives, our leaders, and each other.
employees in the know. Manage day-to-day internal comms operations including intranet content, newsletters, e-mail messages, executive/employee engagement programs and other platforms.
Connect employees to our objectives and purpose with thoughtful storytelling. Develop and maintain internal content calendar and strategically manage both the content and pace of employee communications for programs such as benefits and open enrollment, annual performance reviews, annual cultural and holiday communications, URW Academy, etc.
Communicate a clear impression of URW as an employer. Establish employer branding practices, working with HR, Communications, PR and other teams to advocate for and project manage execution of relevant initiatives.
Identify moments that bring the brand to life and spotlight across internal platforms.
Recognize project breakthroughs, trends, stories and accomplishments and share on LinkedIn and internal channels. Work across teams to highlight our commitment to customer connection as well as how we diversify and densify our real estate assets.
Be curious and creative. Develop and champion new programs and opportunities around internal communications and employee engagement, providing halo of leadership and strategy for internal comms and employer branding while executing most needs independently.
Create content that attracts and inspires. Manage and develop cross-platform editorial content as required, including copywriting, photo or video production, creative agency management where appropriate, etc.
Think big with company leaders. Collaboratively develop communications around key individual executives and content for internal and external thought leadership programs.
Drive social media engagement with URW. Leverage insight to develop a content strategy in concert with HR and Corporate PR teams that sparks new thinking on digital strategies and promotes URW as an employer of choice in the U.S. and in specific key regions.
Ignite employees’ sense of social purpose. Participate in cross-functional teams executing programs associated with global initiatives such as URW Community Day, our employee volunteer program; Together at URW, our company values platform; Better Places 2030, our global CSR program; and Be You at URW, our inclusive workplace initiative.
Operationalize U.S. internal communications, developing infrastructure and organization around field employee and corporate/regional/center office engagement, internal ambassador program and other needs.
Align with our global partners. Work with Paris headquarters to execute U.S. implementation of groupwide plans; collaborate on groupwide programs and provide support, content or advice for groupwide communications.
Measure progress. Create and/or follow reporting requirements, KPI’s and other metrics to evaluate and report back on program successes and opportunities for improvement.
Sees internal communication as a key business lever. Smart, hardworking and dedicated to internal communications and employee engagement – interested in promoting new strategic thinking and ideas in the employee engagement arena.
Thoughtful and committed to building a diverse and inclusive employee community, leveraging internal communications to play a key role in that development.
Flexible and willing to work as needed to support various programs, events and initiatives; able to work independently and project manage complicated programs through execution.
Detail-oriented with ‘ready-to-publish’ writing and copy-editing skills, able to develop thoughtful and engaging materials with an authentic voice, and oversee creative development of photography, videos, website content, graphic design materials etc.
Digitally savvy and innovative, bringing new ideas, technologies and best practices to the table; experience evolving organizational internal communications and employer branding practices.
Executive presence and experience working with senior leadership.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as well as 6+ years of progressive experience in internal or corporate communications.
Track record in shepherding internal communications within a complex, matrix organization with multiple office locations and remote teams.
Specific background working in retail, real estate, fashion, entertainment, consulting, digital and/or hospitality industries – general interest in retail and real estate preferred.
Digitally savvy and forward thinking, strong writing and editing skills. Knowledge of Microsoft platforms including Sharepoint, Teams and Yammer; e-mail marketing platforms, etc.
Skills with design and photo-editing software a plus.
