Job Description:

The KION Digital Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, resource management, development, reporting and execution of Digital projects leveraging best practices and standards across the KION Group operating units. By guiding the allocation of resources and structure of the portfolio, this position supports the execution of KION Digital projects aiming to increase the value from our overall portfolio for our internal and external customers.
Additionally, the role will assist with portfolio priorities to coordinate the resource allocation as well as compliance with the company guidelines. In collaboration with the individual leaders within the various groups in different operating units, the portfolio manager will balance the allocation of resources across short, mid and long-term time horizons, varying innovation and delivery risk profiles, speed of delivery/innovation vs. depth and market opportunities. The portfolio manager also provides management of relationship between various teams across one or more KION business units. The portfolio and project manager role is also responsible for preparing presentations and organizing KION Digital meetings and events including meetings for the various committees overseeing KION Digital operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the KION Digital portfolio covering a wide range of cross operating unit initiatives from intake to delivery including project governance, budgeting, and compliance oversight.


• Provide communication and transparency regarding project status for the leadership team and KION Digital meetings.


• Provide help with partnerships, vendor selection, management, and payment setup.


• Provide leadership in analyzing, diagnosing, and recommending corrective action for cross operational unit project development challenges.


• Work with the leadership team and interested parties in terms of business partners and sponsors to provide a comprehensive overview of capital and operational projects (overview includes the anticipated overall budget for each initiative in the portfolio).


• Manage and contribute to defining OKR process and strategy for KION Digital.


• Plan, invite, and organize various KION Digital meetings that include international attendees from various operating units.


• Perform project scheduling, resource planning, leveling and management (forecast impacts on staffing where project scope may have changed) - as well as effective use of metrics, and reporting.


• Manage all aspects of risk control and project oversight.


• Ensure prioritization of projects to deliver the greatest return on resources (employee time, capital, etc) spent

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience in portfolio management, innovation group management, or chief of staff role or similar roles


• Proven ability to effectively operate in a highly complex environment and deliver quality results


• Excellent English communication and presentation skills


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel


• Ability to provide project management services, measures and reporting


• Experience interacting with executives and senior management staff
