Morgan Olson is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth production operations during third shift.
Essential Functions and Activities:
Supervise automated production line and sub-assembly cell operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, utilization, productivity and on-time delivery objectives.
Supervise production line and feeder cell operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Assures that team members are properly trained and have the necessary tools and equipment to perform tasks.
Coaches and mentors team leaders and members
Inspects work performed by team members for quality, accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers and reports daily status of truck production.
Calculates manning required and makes appropriate job assignments and coordinates with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels.
Interviews and selects applicants as new hires when required.
Schedule and conduct daily shift meetings.
Advises and assists engineering department of BOM errors and design and routing issues.
Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Ensure that housekeeping and visual workplace requirements are maintained.
Monitors performance of team members regularly, completes annual and probationary performance reviews.
Enforces company policies and procedures and administers corrective action when necessary
Manages time and attendance for all hourly team members
Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.
Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of High school diploma with multiple years of assembly supervision experience.
Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Excellent interpersonal skills, must be able to motivate and maintain morale of team members.
