Sheet Metal Journeyman

Nature of Work
installing a variety of equipment including but not limited to fan coils, heat
pumps, package units, mini splits, exhaust fans, c.r.a.c. units, vav's, reheat
coils, furnaces, and condensing units. Work involves section cutting to
assemble commercial rigid air conditioning duct work/ systems, reading and interpreting
blueprints and having a basic understanding of central air conditioning systems
as well as forced air heating systems. Responsible for the safe installation of
HVAC units and ductwork. Works with foreman to establish a team based work
environment and brings a positive attitude to the job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or products specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
This position may have supervisory responsibilities.

Certification & Licenses
Sheet Metal License or the
ability to obtain.
Five years or more of
related work experience required.
be able to: Stand or walk for long periods of time for a regular work day; use
arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry
materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and
other climbing devices; carry tools and equipment; work while stooped,
kneeling, crouched, and crawling positions; be able to see naturally or with
correction, to safely perform designated tasks.
Standard project site environment that
may include machinery, parts and chemicals. The job is performed under
temperature extremes and under conditions with exposure to risk of injury
and/or illness. May require protective gear.
