Job Description:

We are actively hiring for Actuarial Forecasting Analyst! Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals. This position can be remotely based out of any state with the exception of AK, CA and HI.

As an Actuarial Forecasting Analyst, you will help us achieve our goal by being responsible for the loss forecast and planning process.




Essential responsibilities:



  • Capture data, current rate level and trending analysis, actuarial selection, and loss ratio output.

  • Develop strong working relationships with internal business partners including Pricing, State Product Management, and Finance.

  • Monitor and incorporate industry trends, economic developments, and market landscapes into forecasts.

  • Provide analytical support to Claims Analytics, Reserving, and Indications functions including peer review and ownership of ad hoc actuarial analysis.

  • Act as primary backup for Rate Indications Analyst to deliver tools, data, and periodic supporting analysis.

  • Communicate and explain drivers of enterprise loss ratio results and forecasts to internal partners.




What would make us excited about you



  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance.

  • Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years' experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal line insurance.

  • Completion of five or more actuarial exams




Preferred Qualifications



  • Completion of ACAS

  • Basic computer software programming skills ideally SAS

  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both in a team setting and independently

Per Nevada SB293 we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Nevada. If performed in Nevada, this position has a(n) salary range of $93,000 - $110,000. In compliance of Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a(n) salary range of $80,000-$95,000. The role includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay earning opportunity from a production incentive plan.
