Reporting to the Plant Manager with input from the Materials & Distribution Manager at the US Headquarters in Charlotte, NC, the Materials & Distribution Manager (Lodi Manufacturing Site) is in charge of incoming and outgoing local freight, subcomponents for production needs (color, wheels, axles, spacers, caps, etc.), reclaim and warranty processing in conjunction with our customers, inventory control (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly) and Production.

  • Source raw materials and component parts in quantities to support production requirements
  • Maintain product inventory levels to support sales while controlling cost
  • Organize and direct the annual accounting of physical inventory
  • Perform data entry into the inventory control system
  • Manage and supervise the Shipping/Receiving Department
  • Manage and supervise the Warranty & Reclaim Department
  • Negotiate and control freight costs of inbound and outbound product and materials
  • Maintain complete, accurate and sufficient files of purchasing, sales, inventory, and distribution activities
  • Manage team of less than 10 employees
  • Provide Production Department with manufacturing schedules
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience leading a small team in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Inventory Management Software and corresponding physical inventory to match
  • Experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment
  • Experience operating a forklift and managing a team of forklift operators with safety as our #1 priority
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency
  • Excellent verbal, written and oral communicative skills
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but commensurate work history and experience may be honored in lieu of a degree
