Event Manager

Job Description Summary

The Events Manager position is responsible to support, coordinate and manage all special events on the client site reporting into the Sr. Facilities Manager. This will require cross department collaboration and engagement with many different stakeholders and vendors. Duties include but are not limited to special event management and planning from inception to execution, managing vendors, room reservations, meeting set-ups, catering support and liaising with AV, IT, Corp etc.

Job Description


  • Serve as the primary Facilities events point-of-contact for all special events

  • Develop detailed event plans/Run of Show

  • Standardize event management process and continually refines processes and protocols to deliver a best in class client and event experience

  • In-person, end to end supervision and execution of events. This may include events outside of typical business hours

  • Presentation of event plans and communication with all levels of leadership

  • Foster relationships with key internal client teams, stakeholders, and vendor partners

  • Ensure responses to requests and inquires occur in a timely, customer-focused, and professional manner

  • Act as a liaison between vendors and client to quote, order, and manage event specific materials as needed

  • Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and impacts of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of event objectives, timelines, and client expectations

  • Track, review, and analyze events and highlighting trends and determine areas for improvement

  • Train, supervise and manage vendors to maintain high standards


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Three or more years' experience managing events

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events, meetings or projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of the event planning process, with a focus on logistics and customer service

  • Strong client satisfaction focus, interpersonal skills, and ability to engage with cross departmental teams

  • Must be able to negotiate, organize, delegate on various events, meetings or projects, simultaneously

  • Maintains a high level of professionalism in challenging circumstances, including a flexible schedule

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use new technologies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
