Job Description:

The Plant Master Data Analyst will act as the subject matter expert on all topics related to Master Data, Material, Product, Bill of Materials, Routings Logistics Data, etc . PMDA will support business projects and governance and quality operations. Coordinate the Cleansing, creation and maintenance of master data in the ERP System and supports / admin Cycle Count Program (when applicable).

The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager / with dotted line to the GSN NAM Master Data Manager to facilitate standardization of business processes and quality improvements across all locations.

Roles and Responsibilities include:


  • Prepare the Manufacturing plant for ERP Implementation and Digital transformation.
  • Evaluate business impact and lost opportunity due to poor data quality
  • Apply governance processes, tools, roles, to the life Cycle Management of information based on understanding of business requirements
  • Create Master Data processes and procedures for life cycle management and access and control
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on the Master Data road map and implementations
  • Maintain Master Data cartography and lineage
  • Drive Data Governance and Quality programs
  • Ensure compliance and security of data assets

  • Administer One Shuttle tool (used to coordinate the creation, update, and deletion of data)
  • Responsible for the cleansing of the material master data in plant.
  • PMDA will be responsible for the material master only, creation of parts, activate the part when ready, obsolete and changes on parts according to lifecycle and projects.
  • Coordinate with the plant Data Coordinators/Key Users for all concerned domains (Mktg, CR, LO, MF, PU, QU, EP, CO, FI, etc.) before activating the item master in the ERP system. Each area is responsible for the creation of their data like loading BOMs, Routings, Purchasing data. PMDA will only audit their data before releasing the parts to the plant.
  • Prepare and publish monthly data quality reports in collaboration with plant Data Coordinators to understand the root cause and take corrective actions to avoid inconsistencies in data

  • Evaluate business impact and lost opportunity due to poor data quality

    • Provide localized training for plant master data coordinators and other employees. Assess the performance of plant Data Coordinators in meeting business needs and data quality requirements and work with Master Data Coordinators and their supervisors to address performance issues.



  • Ensure Role assignment per user in the plant without risks and violations.


  • R esponsible for the Inventory Accuracy and Cycle count program in site (when applicable)

    Required Qualifications:



    • Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering, Business or related
    • 3 years in materials management, manufacturing, quality or equivalent
    • 2 years of hands on experience working with databases and writing SQL queries
    • 1 years of experience with data management and/or data quality
    • 2 years effectively communicating complex topics and knowledge transfer with non-technical users
    • 2 years of experience driving projects with cross functional teams


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years working in a manufacturing company
    • 2 year of operational experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, and Data Quality
    • 2 years of experience with SAP
    • Working knowledge of Master Data management systems; SAP MDG or equivalent
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
