Are you seeking a new opportunity with a growing company? You as the Receiver performs the functions of unloading trucks and quality control of inbound shipments that are coming from our Vendor Partners.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Unloading trucks manually, with a pallet jack or forklift (certification required).
Sorting and receiving product which includes sorting by PO, mail, returns and supplies.
Accurately counting of products and comparing to vendor packing slips.
Accurately signing off for freight coming in from different carriers.
Quality control processing using RF scanners/IDS system for all inbound merchandise, including labeling, packaging of various items.
Communicating with the Receiving Office to fix any issues.
Cutting flaps and removing tops off of boxes.
Cube items properly and bundle items together when there are multiple pieces to an item.
Housekeeping – placing garbage, boxes, popcorn, bubble wrap in the dumpsters and keeping the area clean at all times.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 40 lbs. frequently with our without assistance (team lifting is encouraged for items weighing over 50 lbs.).
Forklift Drivers must be able to perform 6 or more hours of operating a forklift.
Responsibilities
Communicate with Receiving Office to resolve discrepancy Pos.
Utilize a pallet-jack to move product or skids.
Rotate throughout the Receiving Department performing various receiving functions, and may be asked to rotate to other job functions in the warehouse, including cross-department functions, for training and operational purposes.
Occasionally assist Stocking with restocking products to the specific areas or locations and the Receiving office with matching office paperwork.
Shown ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in combination at any given time.
Confirmed ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Accurate counting ability.
Excellent organizational skills with critical attention to detail.
Solid verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Forklift certification.
Previous warehouse and/or receiving experience
