Child Saving Institute (CSI) provides comprehensive services to children at risk and their families through programs such as early childhood education, in-home services, foster care, adoption, early childhood consultation, pediatric consultation, and an emergency shelter.

Youth Counselor (Full-time)2:30 p.m.-10:30p.m.

The Youth Counselor position must have all three of these traits to care for the youth we serve at Child Saving Institute. Youth Counselors work directly with youth who are in the juvenile justice or child welfare systems. These youth come to us with mental health and family issues. They need assistance with the day-to-day activities they often find challenging (i.e. going to school, daily living, skills, building healthy relationships, etc.). This "modeling", support, guidance, and mentoring takes place in a short-term residential setting. It has structured programming created specifically for the youth in a collaborative effort by the youth counselors, shelter supervisory team, each youth's family and treatment professional. Together, the staff works as a team to advocate for the youths' needs and assist them in the steps necessary to transition from the shelter.

Full-time; 40 hours per week

Job Requirements (include but are not limited to the following):

• High School diploma and two years experience working with children and families OR a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or equivalent


• Experience in Human Services with children at risk strongly preferred


• Minimum of 21 years of age.
