JOB SUMMARY


  • Lead and administrate Operations Materials organization including Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Control, SAP SME team and MRO functions within a Jabil Operation.

  • Support the Operation’s business development effort with current and potential customers.

  • Support the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead and administrate the Materials Organization within a Jabil Operation.

  • Support the Operation’s business development efforts with current and potential customers.

  • Support the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies and systems.

  • Ensure that Materials Department supports the Operation in meeting customer requirements. Manage customers demand. Ensure that materials supply equal demand. Optimize overall costs of materials. Control materials from suppliers to the Operation & customer as well as between other Jabil Operations.

  • Assure smooth and continuous materials supply for Jabil's Shanghai operations.

  • Ensure cost effective materials sourcing, purchasing and planning to enhance Jabil's profitability and its competences in the market.

  • Ensure proper capacity planning to maximize customer's satisfaction and our resource utilization.

  • Ensure high materials inventory accuracy via regular cycle counts or physical inventory count.

  • Drive to maintain lowest possible inventory plant wide to maximize on Inventory Turns.

  • Critical focus areas

  • Provide the support within division level 

  • Must follow RBA (Responsibility Business Alliance Code of Conduct) provision;

  • Comply with “25-S30-GEN-043 Cardinal Safety Rules & EHS Expectations for employees”

  • Comply with requirements of ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 standard and related site procedures.

  • Supporting energy saving, sorting waste and reducing waste.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • The Senior Material Manager shall report to Operation Manager/Director.

  • It shall be the responsibility of the Senior Material Manager to perform his/her function in accordance with the documented the policies, procedures and processes defined with Jabil Shanghai and Jabil Corporate.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Extremely strong skills in the following areas: communication, leadership, business analysis, process system development, administration and change management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Between 5-7 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing Industry related to Purchasing, Planning, Materials Management and experience in managing department(s) responsible for some or all aspects of material control functions.

  • One or a combination of: a bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Materials Management or an equivalent preferred), Master of Business Administration, a certification by related professional organizations such as APICS or Equivalent.
