Job Description:

This position will help drive our organization to achieve substantial cost and efficiency improvementsyear over year.This position will report to the North American Continuous Improvement Manager and will be responsible forstrategicallysupportingchange management activitiesin a geographical region,andsupportingthe use of Lean Sigma, kaizens,and other continuous improvement tools within the businessandindustrialoperation environmentsto eliminate non-value addedactivities,while improving operational excellence.Continuous Improvement Specialistswillassistin the identification and proliferation of manufacturing best practicesacross Bunge, as well asbe responsible for the support of an operational excellence culture throughout all plant operationsand in alignment with the Bunge Production System (BPS)improvementeffort.

Core Functions:


  • Champion Safety & Lean manufacturing practices

  • Geographicallylead Bunge Production System (BPS) support effortswithin a defined region


  • Support and assist withcross-functional critical business projects utilizing LeanSixSigma and continuous improvement techniquesin order toidentify and eliminate waste throughout the business

  • Support and assist withvarious improvementprojects;it is important that the projects are followed-uponand when requiredDMAIC principles applied

  • Work withRegional CI Leadersto ensure project savings are identified, tracked, and capturedfor accurate reporting, including progress updates

  • Training andcoachingof local staffand BPS Pillar Leaderswithin assigned geographical region

  • Work with theRegional CI Leader to train and build theBPSskillsetof the local resources so thatsitesare able toimplement, sustain,and continue usingBPSprinciplesindependently


  • Supportbusiness functions and plants in mapping their work processesand identify opportunities for improvement

  • Lead sitetransformational changeinitiativesand workwith Regional CI Leaders toidentifygreatestLeanand BPSopportunities across the company

  • CooperatewithRegionalCI Leaders and sites to identify and sharebest practices and external trends

  • Assist site Pillar Leaders with closing identified gaps

  • Lead discussions and drivethe siteintegrated master plan for BPSsuccess(Bprox)


  • Actively promote pull methodology"to site Pillar Leadersforregional support engagement

  • Teach and coach others in scientific problem solving andthe importance ofstandardized work

  • Educate, communicate, and excite the organization on Leanand BPS principles

  • Embrace and demonstrate Servant Leadership concepts

Skill/Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience required, with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing experience preferred


  • Six SigmaGreen Beltor Black BeltcertificationPreferred

  • Experiencewith assisting in thedesignandimplementation ofcontinuous improvement projectsand initiatives

  • Mustunderstandloss prevention and the 8 Types of Waste

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

  • Strong presentationand facilitation/trainingskills


  • Results oriented with a strong customer focus

  • Strong attention to detail is required

  • Strong computer skills are required

  • Must be abletohandleoverlappingprioritieseffectively

  • Ability to travel up to 50%
