PREMIER Bankcard is seeking applicants for a Senior Telecommunications Administrator. This applicant provides support in the administration and implementation of corporate-wide telecommunication services. Installs, test, configures and maintains communications software systems and infrastructure. Provides technical guidance, analysis, and documentation on the peripherals and configurations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, test, configure and maintain Telephony systems (Telephone, Voice Mail, ACD, IVR, Call Recording and Predictive Dialer)
Administer security on communications software
Develop and evaluate Telecommunications procedures. Provide recommendations for changes or updates.
Apply upgrades to existing Telecommunication systems following change management
Provide high quality user support and escalation support to staff
Installation and maintenance of Telecommunication cabling
Evaluate performance of all telecommunication systems and complete downtime reporting
Provide Telecommunications project management on related systems. Ensure proper planning of projects
Ensure proper documentation is completed on all related systems and infrastructure
Ensure proper disaster recovery procedures are followed. Able to perform proper backup and recovery tasks
Conduct tasks in a manner that complies with all consumer protection regulations and treats consumers fairly.
Provide recommendation to management in the generation of business cases and justifications
Makes recommendations in the planning of system upgrades and interdepartmental coordination
Evaluation of potential system enhancements
Coordination of internal and external resources
Supervise upgrades performed by Telecommunication Administrators
Facilitation of interdepartmental system implementations
Skills and Qualifications
Five years previous work experience of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, supporting, administering, design and planning of the Telecommunication hardware and software in a networked environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field, or equivalent degree and/or experience preferred.
Basic PC skills and proficiency of the English language.
Knowledge of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, design and planning of the Telecommunication systems, Voice Mail, ACD, IVR, Call Recording, Predictive Dialer, Telecom and Datacom.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to concentrate and work independently.
Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly.
