Role Summary:

The General Manager within Technology Operations is responsible for leading the design and delivery of the strategic business plan, ensuring effective day-to-day operations, including administrative, financial, and resource planning; maintaining efficiency in the operating model, a comprehensive communications plan and a progressive resource strategy for this global team. Further this leader is responsible for establishing and managing the executive governance and key performance indicators for purposes of measurement and reporting to support business outcomes. This leader is an advisor to the Head of Technology Operations while supporting the broader leadership team in their delivery against the strategic plan. The General Manager will be involved in a variety of business and general management activities, steering committees and task force efforts - - able to represent Technology Operations as a whole.


  • Leads global, cross-functional portfolio of activities of notable risk; uses sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions and strategies.


  • Accountable for work of self and others; sets standards around which others will operate.


  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.


  • Able to influence large group of senior stakeholders in delivering outcomes aligned to strategic plan


  • Acts as advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects.


  • Provides senior leaders with relevant and current information that increases transparency into and knowledge of business costs/drivers and how business efforts are performing and aligning with current strategies.


Responsibilities:


  • Develops and supports comprehensive communication strategy for both internal and external stakeholders that factors in breadth of organization/complexity. Collaborates with key leaders and partners to ensure alignment with broader messaging strategy…


  • Assesses business needs, cost drivers, external environment, and data in order to create standard and complex operational and financial models for business unit leadership.


  • Provides strategic support and contributions to the annual planning processes, recruiting/workforce plans, and budget and technology prioritization for business unit needs to support business needs/strategic plans.


  • Builds consultative partnerships with lead partners to identify opportunities to improve existing processes based upon changing business needs. Responsible for overseeing the implementation of those improvements.


  • Performs highly complex data analyses proactively to inform operations or in response to the evolving information flow supporting changing business or senior management needs.


  • Develops solutions to address the most complex ad hoc business requests.


  • Ensures timely and effective issue resolution.


Qualifications:

Required:


  • 10+ years of relevant work experience resulting in understanding of global technology operations management (i.e. service delivery, data center, cloud, security, compliance, asset management, resiliency, etc.)


  • Experience managing large, complex, geographically dispersed organizations


  • Experience supporting comprehensive DEI efforts
