Shift: Day Shift, must be willing to cover 2nd shift when needed.

Pay: based on experience

Job Summary

Completes a variety of tasks including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine servicing, and electrical repairs.

Core Responsibilities


  • Provides emergency, unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs of production and warehouse equipment to include but not limited to bag sealers, tape machines, power conveyors, pushcarts, air compressors, racking, eyewash machines, etc.


  • Completes light plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs as needed.


  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.


  • Assists in facility upkeep by performing duties in the areas of painting, general building maintenance and facility housekeeping.


  • Identifies faulty operating equipment and defective materials, and reports these and any unusual situations to proper supervision.


  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and company safety guidelines and regulations to include Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules.


  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.


  • Institutes and completes maintenance documentation.


  • Handles movement of furniture and equipment items as required.


  • Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures required in the areas of specialty.


  • General knowledge of light industrial preventative, equipment and facility maintenance; working knowledge of plumbing, hydraulic and electronic principles and troubleshooting.


  • Familiar with all hand tools associated with the skills required to perform equipment repair, light carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC repairs and general building maintenance.


  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as necessary.


Qualifying Experience


  • High School diploma or equivalent required


  • Technical school training certification a plus


  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years maintenance experience, preferably in a fast paced maintenance department within a manufacturing environment


  • Possesses mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and ability to repair manufacturing machinery.


  • Excellent communication skills verbally and written.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
