Job Description

The Division of Hospital Medicine at Connecticut Children's continues to grow. We are excited to offer two new faculty positions, one full-time and one part-time. Our division is currently comprised of 15 hospitalists based at the main 187-bed children's hospital in Hartford, and 4 hospitalists based in community hospital settings. The division also includes 20 APRNs and PAs across our various sites. Our faculty have the privilege of teaching and supervising medical students and residents from multiple programs. Besides their active clinical and teaching roles, members of the division hold leadership positions in medical education, quality improvement, research, and administration, and new faculty are encouraged to pursue their academic interests. The new positions are based at Connecticut Children's in Hartford, but may include coverage at our community hospital pediatric unit in Waterbury, CT. The positions primarily involve daytime service, with potential for evening shift or weekend based work if desired. There are no in-hospital overnight shifts. We are looking for candidates with excellent clinical, teaching, and collaborative skills. Experienced candidates and those with PHM fellowship training are preferred, though we will also consider exceptional recent residency graduates.
