SUMMARY: Assembles and routes jobs for the Warehouse, loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and fills production material needs by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the Receiving, UPS Shipping, and "put a ways" workflow.
Oversee the locating and stocking of received material and maintain the proper bin locations in the database.
Assist in maintaining the work schedule to ascertain materials or containers to be moved in order to fulfill "Manufacturing Orders" and balance this workload with put a-ways.
Run daily reconcile reports for receiving and shipping.
Assist in performing daily cycle count in the "stock count" module, create and conduct cycle count as issues arise with production and various departments.
Post all transactions related to inventory, transfers, adjustments, and variances with the basic understanding and concept of rejection tags, view of all sites, and QOH balances.
Be the Allocations Planner backup when needed.
Assist in pulling jobs, receiving, and shipping when needed following the warehouse procedures.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
Labels or tag items properly.
Locate and stock received material rotating the inventory by receipt date following the warehouse procedures.
Must be able to operate a forklift and/or electrical powered devices needed for moving material and maintain certification.
Input on providing solutions to obstacles, which hinder work efficiency.
Assist in organizing the work environment for the department.
Works under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager on continuous improvement projects within the warehouse.
Maintains inventory records.
Perform and participate to completion, of the yearly Physical Inventory.
Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be familiarized with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures for the warehouse area and performs a variety of tasks. Eager to learn more about the ERP system and performs a variety of tasks. Works under little supervision; reports to the Warehouse Manager.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIAONS: Must complete and pass a forklift safety program prior to performing tasks related to warehouse.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Three-year work experience in Warehouse.
One year experience in material handling.
Some experience with managing Manufacturer Orders.
Moderate level of computer knowledge.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to speak fluent English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
