The Sales Account Manager is responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships within an assigned area while promoting and selling USIC solutions as an active industry advocate. This position will be the primary revenue driver for all new regional business in their assigned territory. They will work closely with regional operations leadership daily, managing their sales funnel from introduction through the onboarding process.
Responsibilities
Serve as main point-of-contact for all matters specific to assigned region
Assist in developing and fully executing a sales strategy that ensures attainment of sales and profitability goals
Prepare and execute action plans for effective search and follow-up of sales leads and opportunities
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans
Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing within approval procedure to maximize close rate
Ensures that activities meet/exceed standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and closes
Maintain accurate records of all activities, pricings, and sales reports in CRM/Salesforce
Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses
Negotiate contracts, with support from sales leadership, and close agreements to maximize win rates
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines, including events and trade shows participation
Oversee new solution roll-out and implementation to position USIC for on-going success
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Performs additional functions, duties, and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
5-7 years of experience in sales and/or sales management preferred
Utility and/or construction services sales experience a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
Willingness to travel up to 30% and work in a team of professionals
Proven leadership skills and ability to drive sales results
Very strong organizational and time management skills
High level of verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to interact with clients and co-workers
