Primary Responsibilities:
Fulfill Writing Center Coordinators' supervisory
assignments and job requests
Use guiding questions to help writers clarify and develop
ideas
Guide writers through the stages of the writing process
Assist basic writers with usage and grammar
Provide directive tutoring to writers for whom English is
a second language
Participate fully in tutor training
Other Information:
Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new eligible state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.

About SRSU:
Rio Grande College (RGC) is an upper level teaching division of Sul Ross State University with campuses in Del Rio, Eagle Pass and Uvalde. RGC is a non-residential university offering undergraduate and graduate courses in the Humanities, Behavioral and Natural Sciences, Business, and Education. RGC serves approximately 1,000 students per semester in the middle Rio Grande region. Most students are part-time, first generation in college students.
