Job Description:

Summary:

The IT Administrator provides an initial point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop/laptop computing environment.  This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.  This person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide first-responder IT support to end-users needing assistance.  


• Properly escalate or route tickets throughout the IT organization.


• Deploy and/or support all IT-related hardware; work stations, printers, scanners, etc.


• Support all operating systems and end-user software.


• Support validation of systems related hardware and software.


• Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.


• Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.


• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working technical knowledge of all current MS platforms (Windows, MS Office Suite).


• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.


• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Ability to prioritize and perform high level serial tasking.


• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.


• Adept at reading, writing and interpreting technical documentation.


• Ability to present ideas and solutions in a user-friendly language.

Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. 


• AA/AS degree or vocational technical school certification preferred.
