Role Summary:
This position will be working within a centralized enterprise marketing function assisting all business segments in the pursuit of improved SEO practices for multiple B2B and B2C websites across the globe.
We're seeking a candidate with specialized knowledge and expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge. This role will support disciplinary or cross-functional program of notable risk and use sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.
The Sr. Manager will help set standards around which others will operate and occasionally act as advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad ranging projects. Using your industry, product, and target audience knowledge you'll advise on research goals and design of research methods and collaborate with management to develop the overall SEO program and strategy.
You'll bring an in-depth understanding of all data sources and the ability to appropriately leverage internal and external systems, databases, etc. to develop theories, describe characteristics, and explain motivations behind market behaviors and environments.
This role offers the opportunity to project manage complex research projects, including managing stakeholders and providing guidance and direction to more junior level staff as well as conducting advanced, globally-focused analyses and reports results, often to senior audiences.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes large SEO datasets and data structures for purposes of statistical and trend analysis
Leads SEO research, data mining, and creation of executive presentations
Presents SEO findings and makes recommendations to executives and senior management
Develops and recommends strategies for specific sites/ segments using gathered insights
Manages SEO projects of complex and/or large scope and coordinates findings into presentations for senior leaders
Works with management to establish SEO research/analytical methodologies, data sources and references for the business unit
Maintains an in-depth understanding of SEO industry trends and competitive landscape
Works with cross-functional teams to assess and develop on-page and technical SEO requirements for implementation
Works with paid search team to share data, research, and help better align our search strategies
Proficient in use and configuration of research resources (Google Search Console, Bing Search Console, Conductor Searchlight, etc.) and may guide more junior team members in their correct use
Performs keyword research in coordination with business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities, expanding search visibility among target audiences
Develop and optimize meta tags, titles, descriptions, URL, headings, images, and schema markup for both new and existing content pages
Provide research-backed recommendations and execute strategies for content development in alignment with SEO goals
Execute technical SEO audits to ensure crawlability
Train team members and partners on the basics of search engine optimization and its impact on campaign performance website analytics
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and 8+ years of total relevant work experience.
Specific knowledge about search engines and their ranking algorithms
A strong understanding of SEO practice and methodology, including architectural and design competencies, content and writing knowledge; as well as off-page link and promotion understanding and the ability to convey implementation requirements to internal partners.
Understanding of SEO KPIs and reporting/analytical tools like Google Search Console, Moz, SEMRush, AHREFs, Screaming Frog, Conductor Searchlight, etc.
Experience configuring Google/Bing Search Console and Conductor Searchlight
Strong knowledge of Web Analytics applications such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Content Distribution Networks (CDN)
Proven experience with the development, implementation, management, analysis, reporting of SEO strategy
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to think creatively, and identify and solve problems
Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and thrive in a highly collaborative environment
Experienced in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and finding issues in those languages that may impact SEO
Understanding of Page Speed/Performance and Core Web Vitals impact on user experience and SEO.
Ability to develop and implement canonical and HREFLang tagging strategies.
Experienced with XML Sitemaps and their maintenance.
Previous experience utilizing web analytics tools to understand behavioral usage trends on large websites consisting of both client and prospect traffic
Preferred Experience:
Proficiency within Adobe AEM CMS
Financial Industry experience or knowledge
Experience with digital experience/ digital marketing tools such as the Adobe Marketing Cloud/ Adobe Experience Cloud or equivalent solutions (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager)
Experience with Clarabridge Text Analytics/ Quantum Metric Session Replay
