Job Description:

Core Responsibilities

NI Applications Engineers spend most of their time:

  • Interacting with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements

  • Demonstrating personal credibility through effective technical recommendations

  • Building relationships and trust with customers and account managers

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on product feedback and technical initiatives
  • In your first six months, you will receive tailored technical and business training that will prepare you for an AE role serving customers in the Semiconductor, Automotive or Aerospace/Defense industries.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree with an engineering or computer science concentration

  • Familiarity with electronic measurement equipment ( e.g., Power supplies, DMMs, Scopes, function generators, etc.)

  • Familiarity with high-level programming language (e.g., C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, Python, etc.)

  • English language competency

  • Effective oral, written, presentation and communication skills

  • Effective collaboration skills

  • Availability to travel up to 25% of time throughout the Americas region
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with one or more or the following technical disciplines:

  • RF communications

  • FPGA programming (e.g., VHDL, Verilog or LabVIEW FPGA)

  • Power electronics
