As the Senior IT Systems Analyst, you will administer and maintain applications, analyze system requirements and address problems reported by the business community. In addition, you will perform upgrades, coordinate testing, conduct training, develop reports and provide enhancements by using workflows or other methods while keeping security in mind at all times. A general knowledge and understanding of business functions such as Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, Procurement and AP is a must.
Essential Job Functions:
Review and examine current systems
Interact directly with business owners and identify system requirements
Review current processes and provide solutions to automate and unify processes across business functions and systems
Develop and modify process maps, workflows and custom reports
Provide training to the end-user on business application and reports
Keep application up-to-date by applying the latest patches and upgrades
Write SQL scripts to research data and test vendor fixes
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing application
Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner
Possibly develop and document interfaces with other applications
Write technical documentation for the application including operations, user guide, etc.
Work with other IT members such as the Infrastructure, Web and DBA teams during installation and application connectivity
Suggest areas of improvements in internal processes along with possible solutions
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT solutions to meet the business requirements
Education and Experience: (or equivalent)
Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 6 years of IT experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with Costpoint 7. Extensibility, Workflow, Contract brief add-in a plus
Experience with Cognos 10 developing reports with Costpoint Framework
Experience with Cognos 11 developing reports with Costpoint Framework
TM1 server builds a plus
Experience working with RDMS databases like Oracle or SQL Server
Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting problems, reports or viewing data
Report writing using Cognos or other reporting tools
Experience working with document management systems such as OpenText Content Suite and Process Suite
Develop business processes and workflows
Solid understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
