Summary:

MOR PPM Inc. seeks currently seeking an Electrical Supervisor, in Southport, NC to assist in coordinating the design, estimating to meet the budget, procurement, and managing the construction, turnover, commissioning, and maintenance, industrial and mechanical projects. This position is a temporary role supporting the capital projects actively going on with the customer with the possibility of full-time employment. Local candidates preferred, no per diem.

Job Title: PPM Electrical Craft Supervisor 1.5

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordination walk-downs with customer


• Completing tasks such as terminations, run conduit, install cable trays


• Ensuring LOTO procedures are being followed


• Ability to gather information to compile quotes/estimates


• Read and interpret standard specifications, drawings and plans associated with the estimates


• Work directly with all departments, contractors, etc. at the manufacturing facility


• Enforce company safety rules, policies and procedures


• Scheduling, supervising and coordinating manpower -


• Coordinate and oversee work performance and safety of crew


• Data technology experience is a plus (this role has no PLC exp. but could be used for future assignments)

Experience:

• Must have at least 4-years experience as Electrical Journeyman, and at least 1-year in a Lead or Supervisory role.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong leadership abilities and able to work independently


• Use of technical applications such as Excel preferred


• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plan setting is preferred


• NC state JM licensed Electrician preferred


• Willing to work weekends and off shifts for projects

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds


• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above


• Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas


• Must have full range of motion consistent with age


• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders


• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises


• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces


• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required. Fire resistant (FR's are required), clean shaven for respirator fit required.
