Job Description:

ENGIE North America Inc.

The Chilled Water Maintenance Planner is an important part of our maintenance team. They are responsible for planning maintenance activities and outages in a way that minimizes equipment downtime and impact on production. Making sure maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete work orders and scheduled maintenance.

Iowa:

ENGIE at the University of Iowa employs over 100 energy professionals in the trades, technical specialties, engineering, management and support to operate the utility production and distribution systems, driving toward greater use of renewable and sustainable fuels.

What you'll do:


  • Work with Shop Managers and Supervisors to develop and schedule detailed work plans for the chilled water team

  • Develop, maintain, and improve preventative maintenance work orders

  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for scheduling of preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities and assist with tracking of replacement equipment inventory

  • Work with Chilled Water Shop to ensure adequate stocking of key components and will generate, communicate, and track outage schedules

  • Carries out other duties as assigned


Qualifications

What you bring:


  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical distribution systems and/or industrial plant/facility

  • Knowledge of safety regulations associated with utility or industrial operations

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Prior experience or training in the Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance Field

  • Must possess excellent communications skills - both written and verbal

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of staff at all levels of an organization

  • For this position, you must have evidence of right to work in the U.S. There is no employer sponsorship of U.S. residency or work authorization with this role

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
