Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work certification, is currently searching for a PVC Extrusion Trainer to be based out of Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Extrusion Trainer will be responsible for training Extrusion operators on the product, machines, and processes for PVC Conduit. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent and able to lift 50 pounds. Training experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Train extrusion operators on the product, machines, and processes for PVC Conduit.


• Train operators on the ability to safely understand and operate extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment to produce a quality product efficiently.


• Train operators on the ability to make good product quality and make needed adjustments to comply with product and customer specifications.


• Understand and meet the requirements and capabilities called out in the job specific procedures.


• Comprehend technical functions as related to equipment and job schedules.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience making PVC pipe, and operating extrusion lines.


• Experience training operators on extrusion lines.


• Ability to work in an environment with loud noises, smells and/or extreme temperatures at times.


• Basic Math skills required.


• Must be able to push, pull, bend, sit and stand without assistance.


• Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.


• Ability to follow directions and complete work in a safe and efficient manner while producing a quality product.
