Raw Materials Lead - Second Shift

SUMMARY: Assists supervisor in coordinating activities of raw materials crew and incoming fruit inventories. Directs department in the absence of the supervisor. Responsible for all movement of bins (empty or full) necessary to ensure quality, safety and production, from the field through empty bins from the plant.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Computer skills (word processing & spreadsheets) experience highly desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:


  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals such as the MSDS and other technical manuals.

  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:


  • Current drivers' license and DMV report that meet the requirements of our insurance company.

  • Must also complete a forklift safety training course provided by the company.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and cold storage buildings. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
