What you will be doing:
Primary point of contact to the luxury leisure, wholesale and business travel including government market and is an important ambassador for the property
Lead travel industry sales team to ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers
Reach and exceed consistent achievement of sales objectives (monthly, quarterly, and yearly)
Development and execution of successful business plan
Responsible for account management, guest room sales, contract negotiations, customer service, and execution of flawless guest experiences
Customer base will include travel agencies, domestic and international wholesale operators, extended stay guests and the business travel market
Maintain accounts, contact, activity, and business details within the appropriate software applications
Identify and solicit new accounts in segments assigned
Execute marketing programs and promotions as needed
Network with other similar Accor hotels and Global Sales Organization to maximize business opportunities
Work closely with cross functional departments to ensure all details are in order for on property entertainment, hotel tours and guest stays
Utilization of intelligence tools to clearly understand market share and identify strategies to grow and attract new accounts
Involved in revenue management team and close relationship with Director of Revenue Management
Maintain active presence in local community
Coordinate with the needs for VIPs
Conduct site visits, and organize FAM trips
Duties include on property entertainment, sales calls and travel
Participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel and trade related organizations
Coordinate business trips and appointments within assigned markets
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required
Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
Previous leadership experience within sales required
Proven ability to build relationships and find new business: prospecting, networking, site inspections and sales calls
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required (Opera, Microsoft Office)
University/College degree in a related discipline required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Organized and detailed oriented individual
Strong solicitation, negotiation and selling skills
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Able to self-manage and take ownership of assigned tasks
Experience with Opera PMS preferred
