This position implements, through interface with field and service engineering management, manpower and systems projects designed to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues and improve customer service. Under close supervision, performs basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned. Collaborates with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. Assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.


KNOWLEDGE


  • Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

  • Experience in use of data analysis, project management and project management/planning software.

  • Decision making ability skills

  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills

  • Strong analytical, computer and communications skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of QDM methodologies (internal only) or other quality methodologies

  • Working knowledge of applicable laws and standards in the industry



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math or other quantitative discipline and 2 years progressive related experience in information analysis, systems analysis/implementation and project management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math or other quantitative discipline plus 4 years progressive related experience in information analysis, systems analysis/implementation and project management.


All education must be verified and accredited by the Department of Education

  • Ability to provide clear and executable direction to operations

  • May require knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems



PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL DEMANDS


  • May require prolong walking, standing, bending, and stooping

  • Able to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time

  • Travel required


Preferred skills:


  • Quality Driven Management apprentice or expert training certification is a plus

  • Participation in QAT projects as a lead or coach is a plus

  • ISO background in systems or audit is a plus
