The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the preparation of the periodic financial statements for financial reporting, including the preparation of the footnotes to the financial statements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists the Accounting and External Reporting Manager in interfacing with others, including senior management, external auditors and consultants regarding accounting and financial reporting issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
Prepares monthly and ad-hoc balance sheet and income statement analysis
Prepares certain footnotes and MD&A within Forms 10-Q and 10-K
Supports maintaining the Company's accounting policy manuals including collaboration and communication with other accounting personnel to align accounting policies across the organization
Assists the Accounting and External Reporting Manager in performing accounting research and providing analysis on technical accounting matters as needed
Prepares general ledger journal entries primarily impacting equity accounts and the related balance sheet account reconciliations
Assists in the documentation of department responsibilities for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/ or Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in accounting, including general ledger and financial statement preparation or audit
Business degree in accounting
CPA or CPA eligible preferred
Understanding of internal controls over financial reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
Strong work ethic is expected
Demonstrates accountability to personal work product
Must be a team player and a solution provider
